We have a sad announcement. Our matriarch, Streak, died yesterday.
Lynettea took her out of the Pond World when she saw Streak floating in some vegetation at the surface. Streak was our oldest relative. She was more than twenty years old. She had developed tumours in her old age, but they did not seem to affect her enjoyment of Pond Life. She was still swimming and playing with us, and eating her food.
The Cat Sasha was not there and we wonder if that was why Streak passed away so suddenly. She would watch for him to appear at feeding time and look at us from the world of Air, with his green eyes.
We wonder where he has gone, as we have not seen him since early Sunday. There is a lot of banging and people rushing around outside The Pond.
It is getting hot and the Blue Sky Umbrella is unfurled over The Pond. Our vegetation has grown over and we are diving under the rock shelves into the cooler water.

We are very sorry to hear of Streak’s passing. What a long happy life she had with you there. We are sad that Sasha was not there to say goodbye. Hugs, purrs and prayers…

We bet she had a wonderful life during her 20+ years!
Sasha will be sad that he did not have a chance to say goodbye.
Sounds like construction is happening to the house in the world of Air.
Maybe that is why Sasha was not at the pond.
